“Netflix's Narnia Movie The Magician's Nephew Confirms Major Changes by Greta Gerwig” — what this page in the network covers. Netflix's upcoming film adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Magician's Nephew is set to introduce significant changes under director Greta Gerwig, and the most notable alterations don't involve the iconic lion Aslan. The film, which is part of Netflix's broader effort to build a Narnia cinematic universe, will reimagine key elements of the prequel story that explores the creation of Narnia.
Gerwig, known for her distinctive storytelling in films like Little Women and Barbie, is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the classic tale, potentially shifting character dynamics and thematic emphasis. While details remain limited, the confirmation of these changes signals a bold new direction for the beloved franchise. Fans of the original books may be surprised by the creative liberties taken, but Netflix is betting that Gerwig's vision will attract both new audiences and long-time devotees. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
