Nova AI Developer API provides access to 15 production-ready AI agents designed for integration into applications. These agents support a range of functions including coding, research, content creation, data analysis, and automation. All agents are accessible via a single proxy key, eliminating the need to manage individual engine keys or system prompts. Responses are delivered in sub-second streaming with automatic failover, and billing operates on a pay-as-you-go basis using Brain credits. Requests are processed server-side only, with strict security measures to prevent key exposure.
The API enforces rate limits per key, with defaults of 60 requests per minute and 10,000 per day. Maximum input is capped at 32,000 characters, and output at 2,048 tokens. Agents are selected by name or friendly alias, with unrecognized names returning HTTP 400 and internal agent names returning HTTP 403. Credits are reserved before processing and refunded for unused portions. Users can monitor usage, manage keys, and revoke access through the developer dashboard. No silent fallbacks occur when invalid agents are requested.
