UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has reaffirmed the country's steadfast support for Ukraine ahead of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s first international visit since Burnham assumed office. The two leaders are scheduled to tour a naval base, where Burnham will announce the transfer of intellectual property related to the UK’s 'Stone Cloak' electronic warfare system. Designed to disrupt enemy radar and communications, this technology aims to enhance Ukraine’s defensive capabilities in ongoing operations.
The announcement forms part of a wider aid package that includes military and humanitarian assistance provided by the UK since the conflict began. With renewed Russian offensives in eastern Ukraine, the visit is expected to focus on strengthening sanctions against Russia and securing long-term security commitments. The UK’s continued involvement is viewed as crucial for Ukraine’s defense efforts and future recovery.
