An Israeli airstrike has killed 12 medical personnel at a clinic in southern Lebanon, according to local health authorities. The incident occurred overnight on Saturday, escalating tensions in the region following a recent attack by Hezbollah, an Iran-backed group, on Israel. This marked a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, which began when Israel and the United States carried out strikes that resulted in the death of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Hezbollah’s leader, Naim Qassem, declared the group prepared for an extended confrontation with Israel.
