NASA aims to establish a permanent lunar base by the early 2030s, according to Administrator Jared Isaacman. The plan involves launching monthly robotic and rover missions starting next year, designed to prepare the moon’s surface for human habitation. These automated missions will focus on building critical infrastructure, laying the foundation for sustained human presence. This shift marks a major expansion of NASA’s lunar efforts, moving from short-term exploration to long-term settlement and scientific research.
