A closer look at “Other Mommy Review: Jessica Chastain’s New Thriller Is a Great Idea Looking for a Better M”, exactly as the source publishes it. Jessica Chastain stars in Other Mommy, a psychological thriller that critics say is a compelling premise in search of stronger execution. The film centers on a mother who begins to suspect that her child’s imaginary friend may be something far more sinister, a concept that should deliver edge-of-your-seat tension but often falls flat. Reviewers praise Chastain’s committed performance, noting she elevates the material even when the script meanders.
However, the movie struggles to maintain suspense, with pacing issues and predictable twists that undercut its chilling potential. While the atmosphere is suitably eerie and the central mystery is intriguing, the payoff left many wanting more. For fans of Chastain or psychological horror, Other Mommy may still be worth a watch, but it serves as a reminder that a great idea alone doesn’t guarantee a great film.
