Here is what the page “Paul McCartney Urges Sam Mendes to Fix Height Issue in Beatles Movies: Paul Mescal Casting” contains. Paul McCartney has voiced concerns over the casting of Paul Mescal in Sam Mendes' upcoming four-part Beatles biopic series, specifically calling out the height disparity between Mescal and Harris Dickinson, who plays John Lennon. In a text to director Sam Mendes, McCartney reportedly said, 'Don't do this!' regarding the physical mismatch, as Mescal stands taller than the actor portraying Lennon, contrary to the real-life dynamic where McCartney was slightly shorter than Lennon.
The films, which will each focus on a different band member, have already generated significant buzz with Mescal as McCartney, Dickinson as Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. McCartney's intervention highlights the intense scrutiny surrounding the project, as fans and surviving band members alike expect meticulous attention to detail.
