Here is what the page “Paul Mescal's Upcoming Movies and Shows: From Beatles Biopics to Hamnet Reunion” contains. Paul Mescal's star continues to rise with a slate of high-profile projects on the horizon. The Irish actor, who broke out in Normal People and earned an Oscar nomination for Aftersun, is set to appear in four interconnected Beatles biopics directed by Sam Mendes, each focusing on a different band member. Mescal will portray Paul McCartney, with the films expected to roll out over several years starting in 2027.
This ambitious project marks a major step for Mescal into blockbuster territory. Additionally, he reunites with director Chloé Zhao for Hamnet, an adaptation of Maggie O'Farrell's novel about Shakespeare's family, where Mescal plays the Bard opposite Jessie Buckley. Other upcoming titles include The History of Sound, a romantic drama with Josh O'Connor, and Merrily We Roll Along, Richard Linklater's decades-spanning musical.
