Here is what the page “Prix Pascal de Littérature IA Launches: New Prize Rewards Books Co-Written with AI” contains. A new literary prize, the Prix Pascal de Littérature IA, has launched this week, inviting submissions of fiction manuscripts co-written with AI tools. The winner will receive a publishing deal. This comes after months of controversy over the possible use of AI by winners of prestigious awards, highlighting the growing debate around AI's role in creative writing.
The prize aims to recognize and legitimize human-AI collaboration in literature, potentially reshaping how authorship and creativity are defined. Named after the French philosopher Blaise Pascal, the award signals a formal acknowledgment of AI as a creative partner rather than a mere tool. For writers and publishers, this could open new avenues for innovation, but it also raises questions about originality and the future of human-only authorship.
