Here is what the page “PS5 Jailbreak Milestone: PS3 Disc Emulation Now Possible with PS5SX2, Gran Turismo 5 Boots” contains. The PS5 jailbreak community has reached a new milestone: running physical PS3 game discs on Sony's current-gen console. Developer Swordpdf showcased a video of a PS3 copy of Gran Turismo 5 booting on a PS5, just three days after releasing the PS5SX2 emulator. This breakthrough demonstrates that the PS5's hardware is capable of emulating PS3 titles, potentially unlocking a vast library of classic games for owners of jailbroken consoles.
The ability to run PS3 discs directly could preserve gaming history and offer a legitimate use case for those who own physical copies. However, this development exists in a legal gray area, as jailbreaking violates Sony's terms of service and may facilitate piracy. The speed of progress suggests that PS3 emulation on PS5 could become more accessible and refined in the coming months, though official support from Sony remains unlikely. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
