Replaced is an action platformer reviewed by Tristan Ogilvie for PC, also available on Xbox Series X|S. The game features pixel art visuals and a narrative set around an exciting breakout from a science lab. While its combat can sometimes feel inconsistent and the sidequests are largely unremarkable, the game still manages to engage players with its atmosphere and gameplay. The stealth mechanics require some patience to fully engage with, but they add an additional layer of challenge to the experience.
Despite some flaws, Replaced remains compelling throughout, offering a captivating journey from start to finish. Its combination of pixel art aesthetics and action platforming elements creates a unique experience that players find hard to put down. The game’s climax delivers a satisfying conclusion after a dozen or so hours of gameplay, cementing its place as an absorbing title for fans of the genre.
