A closer look at “Ryan Coogler’s ‘X-Files’ Reboot Ordered to Series at Hulu, Starring Danielle Deadwyler and”, exactly as the source publishes it. Hulu has officially ordered a series reboot of the iconic 1990s sci-fi drama ‘The X-Files,’ with acclaimed filmmaker Ryan Coogler attached as a key creative force. The new iteration will star Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel as two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents who are assigned to a long-shuttered division focused on unexplained cases.
While the original series centered on Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, this reimagining introduces fresh characters and a modern perspective, signaling a bold new chapter for the franchise. Coogler’s involvement suggests a prestige approach, given his track record with culturally resonant storytelling in projects like ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Creed.’ For Hulu, the pickup represents a major bet on nostalgia-driven IP with contemporary relevance, as streaming platforms compete for high-profile genre content.
