Acting President Delcy Rodriguez has voiced determination and optimism regarding rescue efforts after two powerful earthquakes hit Venezuela. The tremors have resulted in at least 920 fatalities and left thousands injured, with emergency personnel working urgently to locate survivors beneath collapsed structures. The United Nations has sent aid teams to support the response, emphasizing the importance of swift action during the critical window for recovery. International assistance is now being mobilized across affected zones, where over 3,360 people have been reported injured following the strongest seismic event the country has experienced in more than 100 years.
The situation remains dire as search and rescue operations continue under challenging conditions. Coordination among local authorities and global partners is central to delivering medical supplies, shelter, and logistical support. While the full extent of the damage is still emerging, officials stress the need for sustained effort and resources.
