Here is what the page “Sega's $7,000 Sonic the Hedgehog Porcelain Sculpture: Limited to 50, Made to Last 100 Year” contains. For Sonic the Hedgehog's 35th anniversary in 2026, Sega has unveiled an exclusive hand-painted porcelain sculpture priced at $7,000, with only 50 pieces available via lottery. Crafted by Japanese studio YOYOYO, the piece uses gosu, a cobalt-blue underglaze that creates an 'eternal blue' finish, and is designed to last at least 100 years. The base is made from durable Amakusa porcelain stone, featuring intricate Seigaiha and Shippo patterns painted by hand, making each sculpture subtly unique.
A glossy red companion piece represents Sonic's endless infinity trail, with colors that shift with viewing angle. The set includes a certificate of authenticity, wooden stand, and wooden box. While 2026 marks a rare year without a new Sonic game, Sega is focusing on merchandise, community events, and updates to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds to honor the franchise's legacy.
