“Seth MacFarlane's Live-Action Ted Series Returns to Peacock Ahead of Animated Series Premi” — what this page in the network covers. Seth MacFarlane's foul-mouthed teddy bear is back on Peacock. The streamer has announced a new release for its hit live-action Ted prequel series, giving fans another chance to catch the show before the highly anticipated Ted: The Animated Series premieres on December 17, 2026. The live-action series, which serves as a prequel to the two Ted films, explores the bear's early years with a teenage John Bennett in Framingham, Massachusetts.
It quickly became one of Peacock's most-watched original comedies, praised for its blend of raunchy humor and surprising heart. With the animated series on the horizon, this re-release is a strategic move to reignite interest and expand the franchise's audience. It also underscores Peacock's commitment to building a Ted universe, leveraging MacFarlane's signature comedic voice across formats.
