Sideral Cinema has successfully acquired the international sales and Spanish distribution rights for 'Lorca: The Broken Voice' ('La voz quebrada'), a groundbreaking feature documentary directed by Manuel Menchón Romero. The film offers a deep, investigative look into the life and tragic death of Spanish literary giant Federico García Lorca, utilizing rare, previously unseen footage and extensive archival research to challenge long-standing historical narratives.
Produced as a high-profile collaboration between Argentina’s K&S Films and Spanish partners, the documentary is set to bring fresh scrutiny to the systemic silencing of Lorca’s legacy during and after the Spanish Civil War. By bridging the gap between artistic biography and political investigation, the film seeks to reach a global audience interested in the complexities of memory and history.
