A closer look at “SNL UK Mocks Shane Gillis on Weekend Update: ‘You Stupid F*cking C*nt’ After US Monologue ”, exactly as the source publishes it. The British version of Saturday Night Live, SNL UK, took a sharp jab at American comedian Shane Gillis during its latest 'Weekend Update' segment. Co-host Ania Magliano closed the show with a blistering insult aimed at Gillis, who faced backlash for comments made in his opening monologue on the US edition last week. Gillis had complained that 'women just'—a remark that drew criticism and set the stage for the UK show's response.
Magliano's blunt delivery, calling Gillis a 'stupid fcking cnt,' highlighted the transatlantic franchise's willingness to directly confront controversial figures. The moment underscores how SNL's international iterations can amplify and react to controversies from the original show, engaging audiences with bold, unfiltered commentary.
