SpaceX recently carried out the twelfth flight test of its Starship Version 3 rocket from the Starbase site in South Texas. This launch demonstrated significant advancements in the design and scale of the Super Heavy booster, reflecting a major progression in the development of the reusable spacecraft. The flight lasted approximately 11 minutes and successfully deployed 22 Starlink satellite prototypes into orbit.
Among the deployed satellites, one was outfitted with a unique external camera aimed at capturing detailed visuals of the rocket's heat shield during its journey through space. This testing phase is crucial for gathering data that will inform and enhance the future capabilities of reusable space vehicles, marking an important step in advancing space travel technology.
