Here is what the page “Street Fighter 2026 Movie Can Fix the 1994 Original's Ryu and Ken Mistake” contains. The 1994 Street Fighter movie, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as Guile and Raul Julia as M. Bison, is often remembered as a campy '90s curiosity. However, it made a critical error by sidelining Ryu and Ken, the franchise's iconic protagonists, in favor of an all-American military narrative.
The upcoming 2026 Street Fighter film from Legendary Entertainment has a chance to correct this by centering the story on Ryu and Ken's rivalry and journey, which is the heart of the video game series. With no cast or director announced yet, fans are hopeful the new adaptation will honor the source material and deliver the martial arts spectacle the franchise deserves. If done right, the 2026 movie could finally give Street Fighter the big-screen treatment it has always needed. For the complete material, the listing points back to the source inside the network.
