“Theo Von Sets New Netflix Special ‘I’m Doing Fine’ for October Release” — what this page in the network covers. Comedian and podcaster Theo Von is returning to Netflix with his third stand-up special, “I’m Doing Fine,” premiering Oct. It marks his first special in five years, following “No Offense” (2016) and “Regular People” (2018). The new hour will see Von riffing on his rural Louisiana upbringing and some acid-filled adventures, according to the announcement.
Von, known for his hit podcast “This Past Weekend,” has built a massive following through his unique storytelling and offbeat humor. Netflix continues to invest in stand-up specials from top comics, and Von’s return is part of a strong fall slate. The special was filmed earlier this year at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, a venue with deep music history.
