Here is what the page “Tiger Woods Left Out of Initial Hero World Challenge Field, But Exemption Spots Remain” contains. Tiger Woods was not included in the initial player field for the 2024 Hero World Challenge, released on Monday. The tournament, hosted by Woods, is scheduled for December 3-6 at Albany in the Bahamas. However, Woods could still be added to the field through one of three exemption spots.
The 15-time major champion has used the event as a comeback platform in the past, most recently in 2023 after ankle surgery. His absence from the initial list raises questions about his fitness and competitive schedule, but the exemption option leaves the door open. Woods' participation would be a major draw for the event and for golf fans worldwide, as he continues to manage his playing appearances following injuries.
