Content overview: “Tottenham's De Zerbi Backs Bentancur Red Card, Urges Squad to Show More Fight After 1-1 Dr”. Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi acknowledged that Rodrigo Bentancur's red card in the 1-1 draw at Manchester United was the right call, but he praised the midfielder's 'reaction' and called for more of that combative spirit from his players. The incident occurred during a tense Premier League clash at Old Trafford, where Spurs had to settle for a point despite a spirited performance. He suggested that while discipline is important, the passion and intensity Bentancur showed—even in frustration—are qualities he wants to see across the team. The draw leaves Tottenham in a competitive position in the league table, but De Zerbi is clearly focused on mentality as much as tactics.
