A tragic event unfolded at Denver International Airport when a Frontier Airlines plane, preparing for departure to Los Angeles, struck a person on the runway. The incident occurred during takeoff, resulting in the death of the individual involved. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the person was able to access the airfield, as initial reports suggest they climbed over a fence to enter the restricted area without authorization.
This situation has prompted a thorough review of airport security measures, particularly focusing on perimeter controls. Officials are working to understand the security lapse that allowed the breach and to prevent similar incidents in the future. The occurrence has raised serious concerns about safety protocols at one of the busiest airports in the country, emphasizing the need for enhanced protective measures around the airfield.
