Here is what the page “Trent Reznor's Custom Synth Features Built-In Atari 2600 by Love Hultén” contains. Trent Reznor, frontman of Nine Inch Nails, now owns a one-of-a-kind synthesizer that integrates a fully functional Atari 2600 game console. The instrument was crafted by Love Hultén, a Swedish woodworker known for blending retro gaming hardware with custom electronics. Hultén shared images of the build on social media, showing a sleek wooden enclosure with the Atari's iconic woodgrain aesthetic and cartridge slot prominently featured.
The synth appears to combine analog sound generation with the Atari's circuitry, allowing Reznor to manipulate game audio or use the console as a modulation source. While exact specifications are not public, the design reflects Hultén's signature approach: merging vintage technology with modern musical functionality. Reznor, a noted enthusiast of synthesizers and unconventional gear, has used custom instruments throughout his career with Nine Inch Nails and as a film composer. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
