Turner Works has transformed a former 1970s clothing factory in London’s Harringay Warehouse District into Florentia Village, a dynamic creative hub. This 9,290-square-metre extension, developed for General Projects, uses durable materials like exposed concrete and steel to celebrate the building’s industrial past. The design creates a flexible space meant to inspire and accommodate around 50 creative businesses, blending historical industrial elements with modern work needs.
Florentia Village revitalizes the manufacturing site, fostering a collaborative community and supporting Harringay’s reputation as a growing creative district. The project highlights a broader movement toward repurposing industrial buildings for contemporary creative industries, providing adaptable workspaces that reflect both the raw character of the original structure and the demands of today’s innovative economy.
