Here is what the page “Twin Brothers Gali and Ziv Berman, Freed After Oct. 7 Abduction, Face New Struggle to Rebu” contains. Gali and Ziv Berman, twin brothers from Kibbutz Kfar Aza, were among those abducted during the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023. After enduring over a year in captivity, they were released a year ago, but their journey to recovery is far from over. The brothers are now grappling with the complex process of adjusting to freedom—navigating trauma, reconnecting with community, and piecing together a sense of normalcy after profound loss.
Their story highlights the long shadow of the attacks, as survivors and families continue to face psychological and practical challenges long after the headlines fade. With many hostages still unaccounted for and communities in southern Israel rebuilding, the Berman twins' experience underscores the urgent need for sustained mental health support and national solidarity.
