At many universities across the country, a unique tradition is gaining popularity during graduation ceremonies. Students who have spent their college years performing as the school’s mascot, often keeping their identities secret, now reveal who they were beneath the costume. This moment offers a fun and meaningful way for these individuals to share their contributions to school spirit with friends, family, and fellow graduates.
These mascot reveals highlight the dedication and effort required to bring the campus icon to life throughout the school year. For the students, it is a proud and humorous way to mark the end of their college journey. For the university community, it adds an extra layer of celebration by recognizing a special role that often goes unseen. This growing practice enriches graduation festivities by honoring both the tradition and the students behind the mask.
