Iranian representatives, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, also reached the capital during the night prior to the talks. Both sides were welcomed by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, underscoring Pakistan’s role as a neutral host for the discussions.
The meeting comes amid heightened regional interest in de-escalation and dialogue between key players. While details of the agenda remain undisclosed, the participation of high-level figures from both the US and Iran signals a commitment to direct engagement.
