UV Lab has recently unveiled 'Arcadia,' a transformative timber installation in Lyon that redefines the relationship between public architecture and communal interaction. By employing a sophisticated design of layered terraces and elevated platforms, the project crafts a dynamic, multi-level environment that encourages both quiet contemplation and active social engagement.
Moving beyond traditional urban design, the installation utilizes timber to bridge the gap between industrial structure and organic, landscape-inspired forms. The project stands out as a model of contemporary, sustainable public space, emphasizing human-scale movement and modular, low-impact construction. By providing an adaptable, inviting environment, UV Lab has turned a standard public site into an urban sanctuary that fosters natural gathering.
