“Will Zalatoris to Miss Entire 2027 PGA Tour Season After Another Back Surgery” — what this page in the network covers. Will Zalatoris, once one of golf's brightest young stars, will miss the entire 2027 PGA Tour season as he prepares to undergo another back surgery. The 30-year-old American played in only four tournaments in 2026, with persistent back problems severely limiting his ability to compete. Zalatoris, who burst onto the scene with a runner-up finish at the 2021 Masters and near-misses at multiple majors, has struggled with injuries since a microdiscectomy in 2023.
This latest setback raises serious questions about his long-term future in professional golf. Fans and analysts had hoped for a full comeback, but the decision to have surgery now signals a focus on long-term health over short-term competition. The PGA Tour will miss one of its most compelling young talents, known for his elite ball-striking and calm demeanor under pressure.
