Content overview: “Xbox Denies GTA 6 PC Cloud Streaming Despite Earlier Exclusive Rights Report”. Microsoft has officially denied that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be available to stream on PC via Xbox Cloud Gaming, contradicting an earlier report from The Verge that claimed Xbox had secured exclusive streaming rights. Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball clarified on social media that while GTA 6 will launch on Xbox on November 19, it will not be streaming exclusively or to PC. The clarification dashes hopes for PC players who, with no PC release date announced by Rockstar, were looking for a way to play the game at launch.
The original report had cited Xbox CEO Asha Sharma's internal comments about doing something 'no other platform holder is doing,' sparking speculation about a cloud gaming deal. Rockstar has only confirmed GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, leaving PC gamers waiting indefinitely.
